MobilECG was founded by Hungarian engineers in 2013.

Fed up with the unreasonably high price, cumbersome design, and dishonest distribution practices of clinical ECG machines, we decided to create mobilECG, a clinical ECG that is different.

Our first prototype was a 12-lead resting ECG with all the electronics built right into the cable. Unfortunately we could not get funding for completing that first version, so we decided to make it open source. Read more about it on the old home page.

Making the design open source triggered an amount of donations we were not expecting.

We realized that our device will only be a game-changer if we provide the appropriateservices, too.

Based on the feedback we received in the meantime, we started developing our second, wirelessdevice with Holter capabilities and changeable lead-configurations. Open source from the beginning.

Our second generation device is being developed.
